Waiting for "faster" times at galas is not advised as we could miss the cut off date for entries. Below is a general guideline as to what swimmers should be looking to enter at which galas.
Long Eaton Swimming Club January Open Meet
Swimmers aged between 9 and 15 should be able to cope with a heavy programme at most galas therefore, these swimmers should be trying all the events as much as possible at the galas they qualify for. Keith Kelly Assistant Coach Keith has been coaching for many years within the county. He started at Trident where he assisted the head coaches in moving the club forward to become a force, not only within the local area but regionally — and then nationally as the programme developed. His input with the squad members was instrumental in the success of a generation of swimmers from Long Eaton who moved on to National honours.
Swimmers are not to take food on poolside and additional chairs if used are to be kept out of the way of the officials to allow for easy passage.

It is requested that should clubs and swimmers sit in the tier seating area, that swimmers are dry and not wet to reduce the chances of slippery steps and walkways. Swimmers should be fully clothed if they walk around areas away from the poolside. All swimmers must get changed in the changing rooms and not on poolside.
